Students at the Perryville Elementary School in Perryville, Mo., set a goal in the beginning of the school year to help their school. In an effort to raise money for improvements to the school's playground, the students collected aluminum soda tabs. The students didn't stop until they had filled a 55-gallon barrel with 176 pounds of aluminum tabs, netting a total of $88 to put toward the new playground equipment and improvements. Shown with the tabs, from left, are elementary students Libbie Geralds, Hunter Roberts, Doniven Arnold, Serenity Matteson and Mattison Bowyer.
