OB-GYN Specialists of Southeast Missouri, P.C. offers all obstetric and gynecological services needed by women through every stage of life, including pre-conception planning, infertility treatment, gynecological surgery, routine and high-risk obstetrical care, and menopause management.
The practice was founded in 1996 by Scot G. Pringle, M.D. In 1998 Chris R. Rosenquist, M.D., joined the practice, followed by Eric Morton, D.O., in 2000. Timothy A. Hoffmeister, D.O., is the newest addition, arriving last summer. He is the team's only Cape Girardeau native.
These busy doctors estimate they regularly treat hundreds of area women and deliver a combined average of 900 babies a year.
With current offices in Doctors' Park, the physicians are excited about the new facility they have designed on Mount Auburn Road. Pringle said, "This is a brand-new office being built from the ground up. It has been designed by the doctors to meet the growing needs of the women and families we serve. The new facility will be extremely modern and accessible in every way. We will have a convenient parking lot designated for our patients only, a covered drive-through for patient drop-off and pick-up, and no stairs.""We will have more space for ancillary services like on-site bone density testing, surgery, lab work and ultrasounds. These are things that go with OB-GYN care but that few practices in this area can offer on site," Pringle said. "This facility will be a huge benefit for the patients we've had for 25 years and for our future patients and their families."
The new building is expected to be completed by the end of 2007. Until then, Hoffmeister stresses the women of Southeast Missouri will continue to receive the same exceptional care that has always been delivered, along with the personal attention and friendliness unique to this team of doctors. "This group of doctors is especially friendly, approachable and caring," he said. "Most importantly, they are competent and very skilled at what they do. We have the opportunity to play a very important role in a woman's life. It is a big responsibility, and it is a great honor."
