LAS VEGAS -- At least one Las Vegas oddsmaker thinks a third attempt to hold the annual Emmy Awards today is a sure bet.

And he has set odds, for entertainment purposes only, on who will take home the most statuettes during the 53rd television awards show at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles.

The celebration of television's best work was delayed twice since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Johnny Avello, race and sports book director at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas hotel-casinos, likes NBC's White House drama "The West Wing" for outstanding drama series followed by HBO's mob family "The Sopranos" as 2-1 favorites. "Law and Order" is the longshot at 10-1.

Nevada law prohibits wagering on events in which the outcome is already known, but Las Vegas oddsmakers are renown for handicapping events such as the Academy Awards or "Survivor."
