Riverside Regional Library in Jackson announced that the meeting room will no longer be available after Dec. 31, due to space issues related to their move in February.
They will be closed for an undetermined amount of time in February while they move from their current location to the old Fred's Building on Jackson Boulevard.
To prepare for the move, the library has stopped accepting donated books and asks that patrons keep their donations until the opening of the new facility. The library will open in its new location in March.
Anyone wishing to help with the move may join Friends of the Library, a not-for-profit group that helps raise funds for library programs and necessary items for the new building including books, furniture, equipment. Membership envelopes are available at the Checkout Desk.
Other helpful donations include sturdy, empty cardboard boxes no more than 18 inches deep and with flaps intact, rolls of packing tape, blue masking tape used for painting, tags with strings, plastic shopping bags of any size, permanent markers, dust cloths, spray bottles of glass cleaner and/or furniture polish, cash donations for moving expenses.
