Local woman reaches 50-year landmark in Order of the Eastern Star

Gloria Warren McClanahan Mecham received her 50-year membership pin from the Order of the Eastern Star on Jan. 10. Mecham reached the 50-year mark in October, after serving in the Illmo, Advance, Dexter and Cape Girardeau chapters. Mecham began her tenure with the Order of the Eastern Star in Illmo in 1959 and has been a member in Cape Girardeau since 1976 and a member of the Cape Rock Chapter since 1978, is a past matron from the 49th and 50th districts and has served in eight stations for a total of 13 years.. ...
