Four students were selected to attend the annual Sophomore Pilgrimage, sponsored by the General Federation of Women's Club. Dustin Oehl, son of Rodney and Pam Oehl of Friedheim, Mo., was chosen from Oak Ridge High School. Kristen Boyd, daughter of John and Cathy Boyd of Jackson, was selected for Jackson High School. Alicia Arnold, daughter of Rodney and Pam Arnold of Jackson, was picked from from Saxony Lutheran High School. Sushil Sobti, son of Sonia Sobti of Cape Girardeau, was chosen from Cape Girardeau Central High School. Students went to Jefferson City to tour the capitol and other buildings. Since 1934, the GFWC has selected students in their sophomore year in the upper one-fourth of their class and who demonstrate honor, courage, citizenship and leadership.
