Madison LeGrand of Friedheim, Missouri, and Sarah Wichern and Joseph Jeffers of Jackson were awarded the Regents' Scholarship to assist with the cost of attendance at Southeast Missouri State University next fall. LeGrand will be a 2016 graduate of Oak Ridge Senior High School, Wichern will be a 2016 graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School, and Jeffers will be a 2016 graduate of Jackson High School. LeGrand is the daughter of Keith and Julie LeGrand of Friedheim. Wichern is the daughter of David and Becky Wichern, and Jeffers is the son of Kris and Angie Jeffers, all of Jackson.

Cape teen gets President's Scholarship

Bailey Sheehan of Cape Girardeau was awarded the President's Scholarship to assist with the cost of attendance at Southeast Missouri State University this fall. Sheehan will be a 2016 graduate of Cape Central High School and is the son of Casey and Lori Sheehan of Cape Girardeau.

Area students make Dean's List

Alex Mehner and Anna Unterreiner of Cape Girardeau and David Presnell of Jackson were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2015 semester at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Katelyn Ludwig of Jackson, a mechanical engineering major at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2015 semester. Amanda Hager of Frohna, Missouri, was named to the President's List at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, for the fall 2015 semester.
