Local student attends Boys State

Raymond J. E. Boos of Notre Dame Regional High School participated in the American Legion Boys State of Missouri from June 18 through 25 on the campus of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. Boos was selected based on his leadership, citizenship, academics and character during his junior year at Notre Dame. Local woman gets scholarship

Carly Lorenz was awarded the University of Missouri Cape Girardeau County Extension Council's annual scholarship of $250. Lorenz is a senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia majoring in agribusiness management with a minor in plant science. She is a 2013 graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School.

Saxony student recognized

Rachael Koehler of Saxony Lutheran High School recently was named a Commended Student in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. Koehler, daughter of Chris and Stephanie Koehler, is a senior at Saxony.
