SCHOLARSHIPS

• The following students received a scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2009-2010 academic year: Douglas McDonough of Benton, Mo., received the President's Scholarship; Annabelle Criddle of Cape Girardeau received a President's Plus Scholarship and a MAP Scholarship; Angela L. Morton, Brooke V. Morris, Alicia N. Dunn, John M. Unterreiner and David M. Martin Jr. of Cape Girardeau received Regents' Scholarships.

DEAN'S LIST

n Paul S. Sander of Jackson was named to the fall 2008 dean's list at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

• Kyle Gray of Benton was named to the fall 2008 dean's list at College of the Ozarks, 40 miles south of Springfield, Mo.
• Grace Blades of Cape Girardeau was named to the dean's list at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill.

SCHOLARSHIP

• JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Agriculture students throughout Missouri have until Feb. 13 to submit their applications for 2009 Missouri Corn Scholarships. High school and college students interested in a career in agronomy or other agriculture-related fields can apply for one of ten $750 scholarships sponsored by the Missouri Corn Growers Association and the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 13 to be considered for the scholarships. Applications received via fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
