Missouri's president Deborah Griffin of Jackson, a member of Clippard Wilson Taylor Auxiliary No. 3838, will be honored during the National Mid-Year Conference of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in April. She is one of 50 state presidents who achieved the goal of 85 percent membership increase by Dec. 31, 2008. The organization serves veterans and active-duty military personnel by shipping care packages and sending them free long-distance telephone cards among other ways.
