EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Indiana tourism officials have replaced the state's old and tired tourism slogan with one they hope has more horsepower to attract visitors.
Beginning this week, the state will use "Restart Your Engines" in television, radio and magazine advertisements intended to lure visitors and attract tourist dollars.
"If we're going to position Indiana as a top destination in the Midwest, we need to revamp how we draw those tourists," Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman said during a news conference.
The old slogan -- "Enjoy Indiana" -- was retired in December after eight years.
State officials said focus groups connected the slogan to both the state's motor sports industry and a reference to rejuvenation.
