Hospital receives grant for tobacco programs
Southeast Missouri Hospital is one of eight organizations in Missouri to receive a $67,000 grant to offer tobacco cessation programs in six area corporations. Funding for this project was provided by the Missouri Foundation for Health, an organization whose vision is to improve the health of the people in the communities it serves. Southeast wellness manager Debbie Leoni said the first on-site tobacco cessation programs will be held at Procter & Gamble, Southeast Missouri State University, Rubbermaid, American Railcar, Southeast Missouri Hospital and Chateau Girardeau. The program will be offered to additional companies over the next few years.
