Newborn massage course from 10 to 11 a.m. at Generations Resource Center at Southeast Missouri Hospital. The class is for parents and caregivers of newborns up to 6 weeks old. For information or to register, call 651-5825.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Kilani will speak about osteoporosis screening and treatment during "Ask your doctor," a call-in medical show. The program airs at 8 p.m. on cable channel 5 and is sponsored by the Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society, St. Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. at Cape Girardeau Senior Center. The drive is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary.

July 31, Aug. 1

Southeast Missouri Hospital and the local chapter of the American Diabetes Association will sponsor a two-day Camp DAY (Diabetes and Youth) for children with diabetes at Main Street Fitness Center in Jackson and nearby Jackson City Park. The camp is in its sixth year and includes children ages 6 to 12. Activities will include crafts, games and bowling, and many of the events will emphasize the basic components of diabetes management. The cost is $35 per child or $30 per child if a family has more than one child attending. For information, call the Generations Resource Center at 651-5825.
