Alzheimer's Association hosts informational programs

The Alzheimer's Association is offering two programs of interest to people who have a family member or friend who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease.

On Monday, Oct. 17, "Getting Connected," a free monthly opportunity for newcomers to become acquainted with the resources and services will be available through the Alzheimer's Association for persons with memory loss and their family. The free session will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the SEMO Chapter office, 1301 N. Kingshighway.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, a program "Understanding Memory Loss," will be held at the Lutheran Home, 2825 Bloomfield Rd., from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Missouri League for Nursing offers workshop

"The Health Care Puzzle: Linking the Pieces Together" is the title of a workshop sponsored by the Missouri League for Nursing from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Oct. 20., at Saint Francis Medical Center, conference room A.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide health care professionals with the tools and skills necessary to improve employee performance and patient outcomes by "linking together" all of the pieces of the health-care puzzle to see the whole picture.

Mary Stassi, RNC, of St. Charles Community College will be the presenter.
