Health fair and screening scheduled for Oct. 23

The Downtown Cape Girardeau Health Fair and Screening will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at Christ Episcopal Church, 101 N. Fountain St. Screenings for depression/anxiety, blood pressure, glucose levels and pulmonary function will be available. There will also be information on health-related issues such as organ donation, massage therapy and counseling.

Autism awareness license plate drive planned

Ethan & Friends for Autism, a local not-for-profit organization, is sponsoring an autism awareness license plate campaign. The license plate design will be up for approval from the state legislature Nov. 30. Anyone interested in joining the campaign can contact Mike Sciortino at 335-9221 or e-mail jamessciortino@semo.net.
