The cancer program at Southeast Missouri Hospital's Regional Cancer Center has received three-year approval from the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer.

This is the top ranking that is awarded by the commission.

The surgeons approval program was established in 1932 and encourages quality cancer therapy and that the best care is being given.

In addition to providing diagnostic services and care, the hospital also meets the commission's requirement for tumor registries. The tumor registry provides patient follow-up and monitors the success of treatments.
