Southeast Missouri State University students recently held Up 'til Dawn, an event to raise money and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This is the third year Southeast students have participated in the event. They raised $48,000 in the previous two years through letter-writing campaigns and activities including a thumb war competition, Wii boxing and a letter stuffing contest. Fundraising continues until March, 2009 when the students involved literally stay "Up 'til Dawn." They find out the total amount raised for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and get certificates for their various efforts. Up 'til Dawn is a student-led program that unites students, faculty, the community and sponsors to help the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For more information call 651-2280.
