Last year the Style Stop Lifestyles team and a few clients read "The Christmas Jars" by Jason Wright. The story takes place around a small family in a small community much like ours. Books were kept in the shop for clients to read and/or purchase. The story motivated Style Stop stylists to save small change and tips in a jar labeled "Christmas Jar," kept at their booths. The jar prompted clients to ask questions, and when the stylists told them the money would be used for charity, they usually donated more to the jars. On Saturday, Dec. 20 the Style Stop Lifestyles team and clients who were inspired after reading the book, delivered the cash from their jars, donated clothing, food and presents and gave free haircuts to women and children at the Safe House for Women.
