C.W. Rushing Charitable Trust has donated $1,000 to Southeast Pediatrics. Carmen Cox, granddaughter of Capt. Woody Rushing, presented the check to SoutheastHEALTH Pediatrics on July 25. Cox is a registered nurse with Southeast Pediatrics. The trust was established by the family of Woody Rushing, who died in 1998 at the age of 84. In 1979, he and his son Michael founded Rushing Marine Corp. He maintained an active interest in the business until his death. US Bank donates to SEMO University Foundation
US Bank donates $1,750 to Southeast Missouri University Foundation. The money will go toward scholarships for children from underserved populations to attend music, arts, theater and dance academies offered at Southeast's Holland School and Performing Arts. Coad Toyota donates $5,500 to food bank
The Southeast Missouri Food Bank announced Coad Toyota and the Coad Family of dealerships have donated $5,500. The gift includes a matching contribution from Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. Cape Tea Party donates to Wounded Warriors
Members of Cape County Tea Party and Iraq Victory Party Association presented a check to the Wounded Warriors Project in the amount of $2,400 on May 28. The amount reflects money raised in conjunction with the Iraq Victory Party held March 20. Accepting the check on behalf of the Wounded Warriors Project is retired Air Force Lt. Col. Local Woodmen volunteers beautify community
Members of the Jackson Modern Woodmen chapter worked together to make repairs and paint the Hope Children's Home in Jackson. The project was part of the organization's Good Neighbors Program, a nationwide program that gives Modern Woodmen $500 for hands-on beautification projects.
