The Cape Girardeau County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cape Girardeau County Archive Center, 112 East Washington St. in Jackson. Audrey Kennedy, curator of Saxon Lutheran Memorial in Frohna, Missouri, will speak on the topic, "Saxon Lutheran Memorial: A Walk-in History Book." The archive center will open at 6:30 p.m. for members to use the library for research. The society meets bimonthly on the fourth Tuesday. Non-members are welcome at all meetings. Membership is $10 per year.
The 10th annual Rosa Parks and Coretta Scott King Memorial Tribute and Achievement Award Program will be at 4 p.m. March 29 at St. James AME Church, 516 North St. Keynote speaker will be minister Thelma Valley, and the program will consist of oratorical and musical tributes. Several women will be recognized for their contributions to Cape Girardeau and surrounding communities. An Easter egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in Harmon Park in Chaffee. It is sponsored by New Hope Christian Ministries.
A poker run and cook-off competition is scheduled May 29 and 30 at American Legion Post 114 in Sikeston to benefit the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Events will include a bean-bag-toss tournament, chicken-wing-cooking competition, a poker run and a cooking contest that includes ribs, pork steak and chicken. A gospel revival will begin at 6 p.m. April 4 at Chirst Church of the Heartland, 720 Bertling St. in Cape Girardeau, with proceeds going to the United Cancer Assistance Network. Performing will be Mitch Pullen, For Heavens Sake, the Davis Family and Mahlon Thomas. Admission is free and offerings will be accepted.

Health fair schedule
Legacy Hospice will host a health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at VFW Post 3838, 1049 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardea. It will include free health screenings, free admission and free parking and is open to all ages. More information is available by calling 573-270-7710.
The Southeast Missouri Angels Pageant, for people of any age who have disabilities, will be at 2 p.m. April 25 at Scott City High School in Scott City. Thre is no entry fee.
