Engineer battalion group sets reunion
The 44th Engineer Battalion -- Brokenheart -- Association has scheduled a reunion at USAES and Fort Leonard Wood Sept. 17 through 19. The reunion open to all 44th Iraqi, RVN and Korean War veterans.
The schedule is as follows: Wednesday, show-up day with hospitality room open; Thursday, tour Fort Leonard Wood; Friday, remembrance ceremony, annual business meeting and evening banquet; and Saturday, departure day.

Coaches clinic scheduled Sept. 18
Saint Francis Medical Center will hold a coaches clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Health and Wellness Center's Multipurpose room, entrance 8.
In addition to two speakers, the Athletic Republic scholarship will also be presented.
Joshua Medcalf, president of Train to be CLUTCH, will speak on the topic "Burn Your Goals: The Counter Cultural Approach to Achieving Your Greatest Potential.
Tom "Tuke" Matukewitz, head football coach at Southeast Missouri State University, will speak on the topic, "A Coach's Journey: Taking Over at SEMO."
Coaches, athletic trainers, school principals and school superintendents are encouraged to attend the free clinic.

Heart and health screenings available
Heart and health screenings will take place from 7 to 10 a.m. Wednesday and Sept. 17 at the St. Francis Health and Wellness Center, entrance 8.
The heart screening includes a lipid profile plus glucose, $29, which includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, cardio risk ratio plus glucose for diabetes.
Health screenings include free blood pressure screening and a glucose screening, $6, and women's osteoporosis screening, $25.

Jackson class of 1953 to meet
The Jackson High School class of 1953 will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Friday at the Jackson Senior Center.
The group, thereafter, plans to meet at the senior center for lunch the third Tuesday of each month, and each year on the first Friday of September.
