A new application for some smartphone allows users to get information about Missouri state parks on their phone. The free version of the app allows users to find state parks by location or activity and other useful information like park operational times and weather alerts. Other features, including a friend finder and trail marking, are available through the Pro version of the app. A portion of the profits goes to Missouri State Parks. The Pocket Ranger Mobile Tour Guide app can be downloaded from the iTunes Store and Android's market or directly at www.stateparkapps.com.
