Wesley United Methodist Church schedules vacation Bible school

Wesley United Methodist Church will have Pandamania vacation Bible school July 24 to 28. Dinner will be served each night at 6 p.m. followed by Bible school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Activities will include crafts, Bible adventures, music and games. All children ages 4 to 12 are invited to attend. The church is at 142 Carnation Lane, two miles off Highway 177. For more information, call 243-5948 or 334-1883.

Wehrenberg offers heat advisory discounts through August

When a heat advisory is in effect, all adult matinee tickets are available for child prices at Wehrenberg Theatres, including Cape West 14 Cine. The offer is good until the end of August. Check www.weather.gov and enter your ZIP code to verify if a heat advisory is in effect. The special ticket pricing is available for any movie starting before 4 p.m. on any day, including weekends, that there is a heat advisory.
