Winter garage sale set for Saturday

The Parks and Recreation Department has planned an indoor garage sale with booths. Department workers will set up, clean up and table space in the Osage Community Centre. Space is still available for those with items to sell. Cost for a booth is $15; admission is $1. Garage sale will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. For more information, Call 339-6342.

Helpers needed for tournament

The Southeast Missouri Regional Tournament for the 2009 FIRST Tech Challenge still needs volunteers. The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a midlevel robotics competition for middle and high school students. Thirty-two high school teams from Southeast Missouri and the St. Louis area are expected to compete. The event will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Student Rec Center at Southeast Missouri State University.
