The Osage Community Centre will hold its annual Hot Shot Basketball Tournament competition at noon today. The competition consists of shooting from five hot spots on the court in three one-minute rounds. The competition is for boys and girls ages 7 to 16. First- through third-place trophies will be awarded in the following age groups: 7 to 9, 10 to 12 and 13 to16. The overall champion will also be awarded. The 7-to-9-year-old group will be shooting on a 9-foot goal. Shooting distances vary according to age group. The competition is free. Registration begins at noon. Crossroads Fellowship Church will have a sports collection sale from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday. More than 500 items will be on display for sale, including items and apparel from the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Blues, baseball cards, decorative sports items, collectible magazines and pins. All items will range in price from $1 to $325. Sales will be cash and pre-approved checks only. There will be a 10 percent discount on all sales that are $50 or more. The 25th annual Agriculture Expo will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Jan. 21 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Black River Coliseum in Popular Bluff, Mo. There will be 118 booths where visitors can learn firsthand about agriculture and natural resources and their importance to the area's economy. Admission is free; entertainment will include gospel, jazz, beauty pageants and toy tractor pedal pull contest for children ages 4 to 9.
