In observance of the New Year's Day holiday on Tuesday, Jackson's trash routes will instead run Wednesday.
Wednesday's trash routes remain unaffected.
The Recycling Center will be closed Tuesday.
The city will again be accepting and recycling live Christmas trees at a special location at the Recycling Center. All lights, ornaments, tinsel and other decorations should be removed before dropping off the trees.
Trees will be accepted through the end of January 2019.
Every year, the recycled Christmas trees are used to build up the banks along Hubble Creek in City Park.

In Cape Girardeau, Tuesday's trash and recycling routes will run Wednesday. All other daily routes remain the same.
Through Jan. 31, real Christmas trees can be dropped off in the container at the corner of Hawthorne and East Rodney for free, or for Cape Girardeau residents, picked up curbside as part of a Wednesday special pickup -- a $5 per tree fee applies.

The Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce is accepting donations of used or new Christmas lights -- in working condition only. Other outdoor-use decorations in good condition or working order will also be accepted. Donated items will be added to the 2019 holiday lights display in Magnolia Park.
