Red Cross seeks Everyday Hero nominees

The American Red Cross has opened nominations for the Everyday Hero award. Nominees can be neighbors, co-workers, friends and others who have made a difference in the community, shown courage, volunteered, helped others or saved a life. Nominations are open through Jan. 15 and can be submitted online at www.redcross.org/news/event/2013-Everyday-Heroes.

St. John Praise and Woship Center to hold Watch Night Service

St. John Praise and Worship Center in Pulaski, Ill., is hosting a Watch Night Service from 10 p.m. to midnight Dec. 31 at the church, located at 371 N. Chestnut St. The service will be a time of refreshing and renewal with praise, worship and the Word of God. The message, "Kingdom Business," will be brought by pastor Larry T.
