Old Town Cape launches calendar fundraiser

Old Town Cape is partnering with Missouri Main Street Connection to sell 2014 Boys on the Block calendars that feature Main Street communities from across the state of Missouri. Each calendar is $10. In March, Old Town Cape, along with the other Main Street communities in Missouri, submitted two photographs. One featured the Southeast Missourian building and Joseph Hann, a Cape Girardeau police officer, and Jamie Hann, a Cape Girardeau firefighter. The second featured the Julius Vasterling building that houses the Merci store with four fathers and their sons: Charles and Warren McGinty, Trent and Clark Summers, Joey and Brady Keys and Matt Davis and Payton Beussink. During the Missouri Main Street conference in July, the photographs Old Town Cape submitted were among the top 12 to be included in the calendar. Calendars may be purchased at Merci, 637 Broadway, or the Old Town Cape office, 418 Broadway. All proceeds benefit downtown revitalization. For more information, contact Old Town Cape at 573-334-8085.
