The Scott County Women in Agriculture will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the USDA Center, 6458 State Highway 77, Benton, Mo. Darlene Carroll will give a presentation on candy making. All women are invited to attend. The Adult Winter Reading Club at the Cape Girardeau Public Library begins registration Monday. The theme for the Reading Club is "The Reading Gourmet." There will be activities centered on the theme throughout the program. To register, come by the Information Desk or call the library at 334-5279, extension 113 or 121. Participants will receive an informational packet when they register.
