Badges Give Back to hold fundraiser

A Badges Give Back fundraiser will be held all day Monday, Aug. 15, at Buffalo Wild Wings, 2136 William St. in Cape Girardeau. Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10 percent of all bills to Badges Give Back, a first responder-based charity in Cape Girardeau, when the charity is mentioned to the server. Vehicles from the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the Cape Girardeau Fire Department and the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Office will be on site. Delta R-V Back to School Bash to be held

The Delta R-V School District will have a back to school bash for all students, parents and community members from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Delta Elementary School, 124 E. McKinley St. in Delta. The event will include food, drinks, games and live music by Doug Johnson, along with an opportunity for students in kindergarten through 12th grade to meet with their teachers and pick up schedules. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Gypsy Sun Caravan planned

A Gypsy Sun Caravan will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Jackson City Park, 1003 N. High St. in Jackson. The event will include vendor tents, food trucks, music and other entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or seating.

Club WCW to host Back to School Celebration

Club WCW will host a Back to School Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Capaha Park Band Shell, off Perry Avenue in Cape Girardeau. Operation Christmas Child workshop set

An Operation Christmas Child project leader workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 20, at Cape Bible Chapel, 2911 Kage Road in Cape Girardeau. The workshop will serve to develop new ideas for shoeboxes, how to generate more shoeboxes and fundraising and craft ideas. Broke Holidays event planned at library

A "Broke Holidays: Spa Essentials" event will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Cape Girardeau Public Library, 711 N. Clark St. in Cape Girardeau. This class will focus on making bath bombs, a handmade holiday gift alternative. Registration for the event is required. Granting Grace event to be held

The Granting Grace Foundation will hold a gospel concert at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at Grace United Methodist Church, 521 Caruthers Ave. in Cape Girardeau. The doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $12 and will be available at the door. Proceeds will benefit the foundation, which serves to help people in need.

Benefit golf tournament scheduled

A benefit golf tournament for Melaina's Magical Playland will begin with a noon lunch on Friday, Aug. 26, at Kimbeland Country Club, 2175 E. Jackson Blvd. in Jackson. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Registration costs $100 per person or $400 per team. There will be a four-person scramble, and the event will include contests, prizes, lunch, beverages, snacks and much more. An optional cash Skins game will be available.
