Apple Creek Memorial Association will present its 19th annual "Gaslight Sing" at 7 p.m. tonight at the old church just east of Pocahontas off County Road 530. The 23rd annual Mayfest car, truck and bike show, sponsored by the Hiway Rodders Car Club, will begin with registration from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 7, at the Knights of Columbus parking lot, 31 Church St. in Perryville, Missouri. Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder's office is accepting applications for this year's Lieutenant Governor's Senior Service Award, an opportunity to honor an outstanding senior citizen in the community. Individuals must be at least 60 years old and volunteer a minimum of 25 hours per year. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life will be from noon to midnight Saturday, May 7, at the Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway St. in Cape Girardeau. The walk will help raise funds to support cancer research, will honor survivors and will pay tribute to those who have died.
