Water snakes patrol the shorelines of lakes, ponds, rivers and streams looking for easy prey. The bullfrog may have been injured and unable to escape the advances of the snake. I did not see the snake catch the frog, but was alerted to the scene by the incessant, erratic crying of the frog...

The bullfrog may have been injured and unable to escape the advances of the snake. I did not see the snake catch the frog, but was alerted to the scene by the incessant, erratic crying of the frog.

I am featuring this image because I want to show that snakes can swallow things much larger than it would seem they could.
