1. Apple pie, a good home-baked pie. It's All-American. My favorite is coconut cream pie. My aunt used to make them, and I have loved them ever since.
2. Someplace sunny and warm. Maybe a cruise. The Bahamas. The Keys. Perfect.
3. I like the figure skating. The duo Torvill and Dean (1984 gold medalists), Scott Hamilton, Dorothy Hamill, Michelle Kwan.
4. A nice, relaxing dinner with my husband. We'll probably go out. Since it's Friday night, it'll probably be crazy.

1. Apple is the great American pie. I like all kinds of pies, but my favorite is blueberry. Where I'm from, northern Minnesota, they grow blueberries. Fresh blueberry pie.
2. Anywhere south. Florida. Or Hawaii. Where it's warm.
3. 1980, when the U.S. hockey team beat Russia. Half the team, or most of them, were from Minnesota.
4. No plans right now. I imagine we'll go out to dinner either in Sikeston or Cape.

1. Sweet potato pie, because it's good. My favorites are sweet potato pie and pecan pie.
2. Anywhere nice.
3. I think of the Special Olympics. I participated -- ran the 50-yard dash, the 100-yard dash and did the long jump.
4. I don't have any plans. I'm single.

1. Coconut cream pie. Banana cream pie holds the fondest memory for me. As a newlywed cook, I knew the rule about beating the meringue for 7 minutes to obtain stiff peaks, but under the broiler, it just melted back down to liquid. Nobody told me I couldn't use a Dream Whip package. Ha!
2. South -- anywhere south -- and margaritas in both hands.
3. Figure skaters, Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding in 1994. Why? Something about shoelaces,
4. Kissing my heartthrob, Kevin, while reliving a scene from "The Princess Bride": "Since the invention of the kiss, there have only been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind." (Sigh ... .)
