Area Boy Scouts have been up to a lot of good lately. Ten-year-old Tristan Ash, seen here, is just one member of Boy Scout Pack 200 in Dexter, Mo., collecting food for the needy. The pack, along with other Scouts in Southeast Missouri, has been placing plastic food bags on the front doors of residents for the Scouts' annual Scouting for Food food drive. Residents were asked to fill the bags with nonperishable food items so they could be taken to different charities. The Dexter pack took food to the Stoddard County Gospel Mission to be used at the local food pantry in preparing Christmas baskets for Stoddard County families in need this holiday season. Boy Scouts in Cape Girardeau collected food from area homes Saturday.
