Central graduate completes Navy basic training

Navy Seaman Recruit Roquelle H. Beck, daughter of Rhon-Rachael Abraham of Cape Girardeau and Ralph F. Beck of North Hollywood, Calif., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Beck completed a variety of training that included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness. Beck is a 2005 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
