Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASA, added two new volunteers. Tammy Johnston of Whitewater, and Pat Kaempfer of Cape Girardeau were sworn in by Judge Scott Lipke. Volunteers are screened, trained, sworn in and serve as voices for children in foster care who are victims of child abuse or neglect. Johnston, Kaempfer and the other volunteers spend time getting to know the children to determine what is best for them and make recommendations to the court. For more information, contact the CASA office at 579-4405.
