Southeast Missouri State University senior Patrick Vining won the Cyril F. "Duke" Flad Outstanding Undergraduate Award with his fraternity, the Delta-Phi Zeta Southeast chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha, at the Lambda Chi Alpha 54th General Assembly on July 20 in Phoenix. The award was created by the Lambda Chi Alpha Grand High Zeta in 1970 and was named in memory of Lambda Chi Alpha's second executive director, who led the fraternity from 1942 until his death in November 1968. Vining was one of approximately 11,000 Lambda Chi Alpha undergraduates. Vining was chosen based on the leadership he has displayed at his chapter both on campus and throughout the community.
