Exhibition opens at regional museum

"Woodcuts, Engravings and Lithographs: Selections from the Permanent Collection" will open Saturday at the Southeast Missouri Regional Museum on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. The exhibition features eight prints made by wood engravings from drawings by Winslow Homer, published in Harper's Weekly in 1869 and 1870. The prints represent some of the earliest forms of printable images and span several continents with subjects including figures, landscapes and architecture. The pieces will be on display through March 25. For more information, call 651-2301 or visit www5.semo.edu/museum.
