Ameren Missouri provided 70,000 ENERGY STAR certified compact fluorescent light bulbs to Southeast Missouri Food Bank. The bulbs use up to 75 percent less energy than typical incandescent bulbs and last up to 10 times longer, according to Ameren Missouri. More than 8,750 struggling Southeast Missouri families in the Ameren Missouri service territory will receive the bulbs to reduce energy use and costs. Ameren Missouri's partnership with the food bank helps disadvantaged customers in their shared 16-county service region through 33 hunger relief agencies.
