ounding the corner to the front of 1320 Broadridge in Jackson, an array of trees appear. Is that a crabapple tree at the entrance of the driveway?
A closer look at the green and red cherry-sized apples confirms this speculation. They are rough on the fingers, hard in the palm and just the right size for doll-sized pies.
Telltale leaves identify several maple trees lining the long driveway. Rose bushes and a rock garden accent the front of this triple-decker, tan and brick home.
Inside, to the left of the foyer, are two bedrooms. One has a bay window and the other a walk-in closet. Both have ceiling fans, big picture windows and neutral-colored plush carpeting. The one on the left has a built-in desk and a cork wall. The main-floor bedrooms share a full bath.
The formal dining room features a bay window with six panes offering a view of this well-kept neighborhood in the Jackson School District. The home is in walking distance of Jackson Middle School.
Behind the formal dining area is the living room, featuring a gas fireplace and a bar with a sink and refrigerator. Ample windows at the back of the room give a view of the wooded back yard. A high, vaulted ceiling allows for a tall window in the wall parallel to the upstairs landing.
The bar is next to the fireplace and a door that leads to the deck. The deck is constructed with gray, maintenance-free material that feels like hard plastic. A two-car garage walks out to the other side of the deck.
The kitchen features light yellow countertops and an island bar with cabinet space and room for several stools. On one side of the island is the eat-in kitchen with room for a large table and chairs. On the other side are the appliances.
Almond appliances include a refrigerator with an outside water and ice dispenser. On one wall, cabinet space is high on either side of the built-in microwave and oven. On one side is a built-in desk.
Flooring throughout the house consists of neutral-colored plush carpeting and ceramic tile of varying sizes.
The main-level laundry room has a full bath off to the side with oak cabinets and a shower. This bathroom has roll-out windows with blinds.
Up the carpeted stairs to the master bedroom and bath there is a landing that overlooks the living room. This is the best view in the house, through the cathedral-type window just below the vaulted ceiling.
The master bedroom occupies about half of the upstairs. Two sets of three windows all across one wall offer a view of the swimming pool on the patio below. At one end of the master bedroom is a deep walk-in closet. The master bath also includes a Jacuzzi bath and a shower, as well as a skylight.
Downstairs is completely finished with a full bath and a shower, as well as a couple of concrete rooms for storage. A multipurpose room walks out to the patio, complete with a hot tub that stays with the house and a swimming pool with an automatic pool cover.
Altogether there are three bedrooms and four bathrooms in this home. Originally there was a single-car garage on the lower level, leading out to what is now the pool area. This room is now a tool room, but could serve as another bedroom, office, play area or game room.
