Sure, New Year's Eve is on a Monday this year. But the good news is most of us won't have to work on Tuesday, so hangovers and/or lack of sleep shouldn't reduce workforce production too much. Reveal 2013 New Year's Eve masquerade ball

The United Way puts on this fundraiser event on New Year's Eve, with music by Mid-Life Crisis and Lawdogg. Raffles, prizes, auctions, cash bar, hors d'oeurves, complimentary Champagne toast and more included with ticket.

St. Jude New Year's benefit

The third-annual benefit for St. Jude Children's Hospital features catering by 20-Chefs Catering, raffles, live and silent auctions, photo booth and other activities. Live music by Big Ticket starting at 9 p.m. Organizers also have arranged for rooms at Auburn Place hotel and will provide free transportation.

3rd-Annual Mixing 10's Rockin' New Year's Eve

Human Zoo provides the entertainment for this downtown party, with a free champagne toast at midnight, party favors, snacks and "red carpet" photos by a professional photographer. Call to reserve a table.

Not your typical New Year's Eve party. Grace United Methodist Church hosts this alcohol-free gathering meant to foster friendships and family fun.
