Celebrate the Easter season with Sister as she answers questions about pet heaven and the significance of those adorable baby chicks at a performance of "Sister's Easter Catechism" on Tuesday at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus.
The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Bedell Performance Hall.
Sister will answer timeworn questions of the season, such as, "Will my bunny go to Heaven?" and "Why isn't Easter the same day every year like Christmas?"
Part pageant and wholly hysterical, the latest of the sinfully funny "Late Nite Catechism" series unearths the origins of Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter bonnets, Easter baskets and, of course, those yummy Easter Peeps. Classroom participation is a must, so audience members should not forget to wear their Easter bonnets and join Sister for this seasonal treat.
In addition to the show, attendees can enjoy an Art Cuisine dinner in the Kenneth and Jeanine Dobbins River Campus Center before the performance. For $21 per person, which includes the meal, tax and gratuity and preferred parking, patrons will receive a choice of three entrees, including a vegetarian selection. Each meal also will include a salad, dessert, tea and coffee. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at an additional charge. Dinner will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.; call (573) 651-2511 to make a reservation.
Theater tickets may be purchased by contacting the River Campus box office, 518 S. Fountain St., weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., by calling (573) 651-2265 or online at www.rivercampusevents.com/touring/#sister.
