Restaurant reccommends: Port Cape

In a building rumored to have once housed General Grant's army, sits your next meal. Family by day, fun by night, the different sections of Port Cape serve different functions.

THE DRINK: "Dale’s Award-winning Chocolate Quake" combines special liquors and some secrets, says Port Cape Owner Dennis "Doc" Cain. He calls it "simply refreshing and potent" and just laughs when you ask what else is in it. Prices: N/A

THE APPETIZER: "Hard to choose," Cain said, "but I pick our smoked salmon." It comes with a tasty horseradish, cream cheese sauce  and Port Cape’s special crouton bread. Prices: $5 to $1

THE ENTREE: "It bears my name, so it better be good," Cain said of Doc’s Babyback ribs. "These are the best of the best ribs in town." Lean, tender and rosy red. Grab a rag, these are sticky good. Prices: Sandwiches/salads $7.50 to $8.25; dinners $9 to $20
