3. "Life During Wartime" Talking Heads

A great party/dance song. David Byrne's lyrics seem more relevant now than when he wrote them. Add to that one of the coolest choruses you'll ever hear and you have a taste of real FUN: "this ain't no disco ... this ain't no foolin' around"!!!!!!

4. "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding?" Elvis Costello And The Attractions

Elvis C. took this Nick Lowe song and made it his own while The Attractions pushed the music to a higher plain. They captured "lightning in a jar" on this recording and the results are special. As far as the message -- are you listening "W"?!?

5. "Radio Nowhere" Bruce Springsteen

Brand new rock 'n'roll from Bruce and The E Street Band. The song features cranked up, overdriven guitars, solid drumming from Max Weinberg, a soaring lead from Clarence Clemens and Springsteen voicing his distaste not only for the pathetic state of today's corporate-owned radio but how we communicate with each other on the whole.
