These are the 10 songs Jonathan Koch of Cape Girardeau can't live without:
1. "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of" -- U2
This is arguably one of the best songs on the "All That You Can't Leave Behind" album. The song is upbeat, catchy, and who cannot relate to being "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of." What more can you ask for in a song?
2. "All You Need Is Love" -- The Beatles
In the time we live in today, especially after the 9/11 attacks, what better message is there for this world than this old Beatles song.
3. "Imagine" -- John Lennon
Could there possibly be a better inspirational song than this John Lennon classic?
4. "Everybody Hurts" -- R.E.M.
At one point or another everybody has listened to this song while depressed. I do not think I have ever even met one person who has hated this song.
5. "Ray of Light" -- Madonna
In my opinion, there cannot be a top ten list without Madonna on it. As for the song I picked, Madonna has never sounded better than in this mature manic song.
6. "Two Step" -- Dave Matthews Band
Although it is not one of the most mainstream Dave Matthews' songs, it is my pick because it is one of the most intense love songs I have ever heard.
7. "Break On Through" -- The Doors
I have always turned to this highly charged song as a fast pick-me-up. You just cannot listen to this song without feeling a rush go through you.
8. "Operator" -- Jim Croce
I cannot think of a song that depicts lost love and moving on as well as this song.
9. "Disarm" -- Smashing Pumpkins
To anyone who has been hurt or betrayed by someone close to them, listen to this song. In this song you can sincerely feel the pain Billy Corgan is feeling through his voice.
10. "Let It Be" -- Beatles
Since I have so many favorite Beatles songs, it was too hard for me to choose just one, so I have chosen two. In the first of the two songs, the Beatles found a perfect way of saying that when the world turns its back on you and there is nothing you can do about it, just "Let It Be."
