The 11th annual Octoberfest will be held at Black Forest Villages October 13-14. The festival features many traditional working crafts including basket weaving, leatherart, pioneer furniture making, wood carving, broom making, dulcimer playing and more.
Delicious kettle corn, pork rinds, chicken on a stick, corn dogs, funnel cakes, polish sausage and apple cider are just a few of the taste tempting treats that will be on hand during the fall harvest festival. Blue Grass music by will be performed by Coyote Creek Band. Events for children include pony rides and a giant straw bale maze.
Admission is only $2 per person and children under 12 are free. Black Forest is located 4 miles North of Cape Girardeau off Route W. For more information contact: Greg or Darla Macke at (573) 335-0899.
