Las Vegas is calling!
At the end of Tuesday's "America's Got Talent," the NBC producers finally gave away the secret of when the competition will move to Las Vegas, answering the question I posed last week, "When will we see Neal E. Boyd again?"
In two weeks, Aug. 5, the callbacks begin.
It's been a long road since Sikeston, Mo., native and opera tenor Neal E. Boyd performed to close out the first show of the season back in June. Now Boyd's friends, family and friends around Southeast Missouri will get to see him return to the stage, and hopefully win the $1 million prize.
But Boyd has a lot of tough competition. One of his most skilled rivals is Queen Emily, who appeared as the final performer on Tuesday's episode. She's the real-deal, an undiscovered talent with major pipes who floored the judges and the crowd. Boyd's up against dancers, singers and ventriloquists who've honed their respective crafts.
Will his massive voice and warm personality be enough to win America over. We'll just have to wait and see.
We'll continue to keep track of Boyd's run, with live chats here on our "America's Voice" site. See you next Tuesday.
