Have one last laid-back party to relish what's left of summer when Jake Owen's Days of Gold tour rolls through the Show Me Center on Thursday.

He'll be playing with the Cadillac Three and Eli Young Band, the latter of which has a song in the top 20 on the Billboard country-music charts.

Since getting his start in 2006, Owen has built a reputation for up-tempo and engaging live performances. He's toured as an opening act for Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean and fellow surf-country icon Kenny Chesney.

He broke a record for most consecutive sold-out shows for the CMT On Tour annual series with his first headlining tour in 2012.

"I love throwing parties," Owen said. "This tour is going to be one big party, and everyone is invited."

In recent years, Owen has established a place for himself on country-music radio as a go-to pick for bonfires and backyard parties.

Between his tribute to uninhibited youth, "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" and the mellow, breezy sway of "Beachin'," Owen's music is a celebration of his Florida roots. Both songs went on to be certified gold and platinum, respectively.

The Texas-based Eli Young Band is known for its rock-infused country sound and infectious songwriting.

Its song "Crazy Girl," in addition to their Grammy-nominated hit "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," have been certified platinum. Thursday night's other act, the Cadillac Three, has been hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the "10 New Artists You Need to Know" for summer 2014.

Tickets are available online and at the Show Me Center box office for $42.50 and $28. Tickets priced at $13 are available only for purchase in person at the box office. The first 100 students with student ID get $23 off, and the next 100 get $15 off. Doors for the show open at 6 p.m.
