The glass gallery has teamed up with Primo Vino to support breast cancer research by featuring wines from vineyards that donate part of their proceeds to the cause, raffling off Riedel wine glasses and donating a portion of sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Black Door Gallery

See the works of the 11 art teachers from public schools in Cape Girardeau. The group will display more than 30 works in painting, sculpture, fibers, mixed media and more. Reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

Humane Society

In a special exhibition, Rochelle Steffen will display "Furry Friends Art Showing" in the lobby at the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri. A portion of the sale of her various art work will benefit the animal shelter. Reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

* The River City Music Festival will close Main Street from Independence Street to Broadway starting at 6 p.m. today but will not charge First Friday patrons an admission to the festival grounds. Galleries on Main Street will still be free to enter, however people wishing to enter a music venue must return to the gates and purchase a music festival ticket for $8.
