Breathtaking photographs of the American West will be on display in "Red Desert, Green Prairie, Blue Sky: Photographing the West," which includes work by Martin Stupich, Miguel Gandert, Steve Fitch and more. Open from 4 to 8 p.m.

The painted Wren Art Gallery

New jewelry from Marcia Williamson and photos from Larry Braun will be on display as well as a River Region Photography Association wall with new nature photographs by Sharon Tuschhoff and Niala Branson.

Arts Council of Southeast Missouri

Three shows will be on display at the Arts Council: Cutting-edge and traditional works will be on display as part of the 2011 Mid-America Juried Art Exhibition; results from the Southeast Missouri Arts Council and the Southeast Missouri State University Art Academy Summer Workshops; and new works from the Visual Arts Co-op.
